These terms govern your access to and use of Ratex, related pages, features, and the one-time Pro unlock. By using the app, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter and comply with these terms; if you use the app on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization.
1. The service
Ratex primarily provides:
- Viewing currency lists and converting between currencies.
- Displaying the latest available rates and dates from a third-party exchange rate service.
- Saving necessary local state to improve continuous use.
- Unlocking Pro features through a one-time in-app purchase via Apple.
We may adjust, optimize, fix, or discontinue features, UI, supported currencies, or technical implementation without separate notice.
2. Acceptable use
You agree to use Ratex only in lawful ways and not to interfere with the service, circumvent technical limits, or infringe others’ rights.
- Do not abuse rate queries through automation, abnormal frequency, or malicious behavior.
- Do not attempt to damage, disrupt, or bypass the app, system, or third-party services.
- Do not use the app for illegal transactions, fraud, or misleading representations.
3. Exchange rate information
Ratex displays rates from a third-party API for convenient reference. Rates may change, lag, be missing, or be inaccurate due to market movement, API delay, holidays, provider maintenance, or network issues.
You decide whether to rely on displayed rates. For payments, FX, reimbursement, accounting, or investment decisions, use actual figures from banks, payment providers, trading platforms, or other official channels.
4. Pro purchase and restore
Ratex Pro is a one-time, non-consumable digital purchase—not an auto-renewing subscription. Purchase, billing, order management, refund eligibility, and restore are handled through the Apple App Store / StoreKit.
- Actual price, currency, taxes, and copy shown at purchase on the App Store apply.
- After you confirm a purchase, charges follow Apple’s flow for your Apple ID; we do not handle your card, Apple password, or Apple billing details.
- Pro usually activates immediately; if delayed, pending, or restore fails, Apple’s transaction status and your Apple account state control.
- Restore typically requires the same Apple ID used for the original purchase and compliance with Apple’s rules for restoring in-app purchases.
For charges, order history, refunds, or restore issues, use Apple Support or Apple’s “Report a Problem” first. Except where required by law, we cannot directly refund, cancel Apple orders, or change Apple billing outcomes.
5. Apple platform terms
If you obtain or use Ratex through the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple’s applicable App Store terms and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). If these terms conflict with mandatory Apple terms, Apple’s terms govern to the extent of the conflict.
6. Privacy and data
Our data practices are described in the Privacy Policy. By using Ratex, you acknowledge that policy’s sections on local storage, third-party communication, and in-app purchases.
7. Intellectual property
Except as otherwise required by law, the Ratex app’s UI, copy, graphics, code, and marks are owned by the developer or licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app under these terms—not a transfer of intellectual property.
8. Availability and changes
We strive to keep the app available but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service on every device, network, or region.
- Third-party rate APIs, Apple services, or network issues may temporarily impair features.
- Updates, compatibility changes, or policy shifts may alter or end support for some features.
- We may suspend, limit, or terminate all or part of the service within reason.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ratex is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties of continuity, accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, whether express or implied.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including lost profits, trading losses, data loss, lost opportunity, or business interruption, arising from:
- Your reliance on or use of exchange rate information.
- Third-party service outages, errors, delays, or discontinuation.
- Device failure, system issues, network problems, or force majeure.
10. Termination
If you breach these terms or your use may harm the app, developer, third parties, or other users, we may restrict or end your access to features. You may stop using and delete the app at any time.
11. Updates and contact
We may update these terms for product changes, legal requirements, or partner services. New versions are posted on this page; the “Last updated” date reflects when they take effect. Continued use after updates generally means you accept the revised terms.
